The parking is hell & their customer service needs a lot of work
If I could give half a star I absolutely would. It’s so concerning that all these reviews are TERRIBLE and instead of Barlow Park hearing how unhappy their tenants are, they want to say all these things were discussed prior to moving. Very concerning this bad customer service and this has been my experience with all ithemba properties (This is my 3rd one).
My biggest problem is the parking. It is incredibly inconvenient for pedestrians. Having to walk a long distance and up the stairs with heavy groceries? Lord help us when it’s cold and raining. We don’t have access to the lifts or the parking by the apartment so friends can drop us off and we offload our groceries. We’d have to give them a Uber code that’s only valid for 30 minutes so after offloading they would have to drive back to the centre parking then come back via the stairs on the pedestrian side. How silly? There’s no dedicated parking for our visitors and them having to pay the hourly centre rates is just absurd. When the centre is closed, it’s evident that cars are there for the tenants so at the very least they should not charge after hours or have some sort of visitor validation that cuts the costs in half.
This place has so much potential to be great if management made changes to make the experience feel like the luxury living that was advertised. I feel I could be happy here. If nothing changes I will definitely move because it is currently not very pleasant and I would not recommend anyone to move here.
