Still Awaiting Clarity on Final Statement Charges

I recently moved out of Eyethu House, Unit 432, and raised a query with Ithemba Property Management regarding unusual charges appearing on my final statement.

The charges are specifically reflected as “Utilities in Arrears”, including Utility Admin, CID Levies, Refuse and Sewer charges. I had already made my required monthly payment at the beginning of the month in which I submitted my notice, so I requested clarity on what period these additional charges relate to and why they appear to have been added to my final statement.

My query was logged under Ticket #407080 on 13 August 2026. It has now been 5 days without a substantive response or any actual clarification.

What is particularly frustrating is that Ithemba Property Management has acknowledged my query and requested information from me, but despite providing the necessary details, there has been no meaningful response addressing the actual billing issue. It honestly feels like they are keen to acknowledge the complaint but not keen to provide an answer to the question being asked.

This is a financial matter, and I am simply asking for a transparent breakdown of the charges and confirmation that I have not been billed twice for the same period.

I hope Ithemba Property Management can prioritise this matter and provide a clear response instead of leaving tenants to repeatedly follow up on legitimate queries regarding their final statements.
