Poor service
I have been charged late notice while communication was given to building Manager regarding the status of my stay a month prior. The was no advice from him to write to office regarding that instead kept quite so that I can lose my deposit. Mind you I was on month to month lease and I have fully explained reason for extension.
Ithemba Property Management (Elavate).
Thank you

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, as it allows us the opportunity to provide further clarity.
We acknowledge and understand that you made contact with the building manager to advise of your intention to vacate the property. However, we would like to clarify that the lease agreement specifies the formal methods by which notice of termination must be submitted in order to be deemed valid.
As outlined in the lease agreement, notice of termination may only be effected by submitting written notice directly to the Landlord via the email address provided, or by delivering the written notice in person to the physical addresses stipulated in the agreement. These requirements are set out under Clause 26, which governs the handling of notices and correspondence between the Landlord and the Tenant. The relevant contact details and addresses are further referenced in Clauses 1.15 and 1.16 of the lease agreement.
While we understand that the building manager did not remind you of these specific provisions at the time, we would like to emphasize that the terms and conditions of the lease agreement were communicated clearly and transparently at the commencement of the lease. This ensures that you, as our valued tenant, have access to the necessary information whenever required.
For confirmation and ease of reference, we kindly request that you review the relevant clauses in your lease agreement.
Sincerely,
Ithemba Property
