Payment made but still being harassed

Ithemba handed us over for non-payment of arrears that they did not notify us of. Payment was made and proof of payment submitted. The collection company is still harassing us. Proof of payment has been sent several times to Ithemba and LGR but the harassment persists. The last email from ithemba was an instruction to email LGR again. Ithemba did the handover but now they are shifting responsibility to us to contact their appointed service provider. We just want the credit bureau listing removed. We both had clear credit up until this and it has other consequences. It's affecting interest rates we are offered. We just need them to remove the listing because they were paid. Calling their number is still a nightmare.

We acknowledge and appreciate that you made payment of your outstanding balance, as confirmed during your discussion with our collections representative on 22 April 2026. Thank you for your cooperation and for taking the necessary steps to settle the matter.

Subsequent to this, we have ensured that the law firm has updated the status of your account to accurately reflect that it has been settled in full and is now in good standing. Furthermore, arrangements have been made for a paid-up letter to be issued to you. This document will serve as formal legal confirmation that your account has been fully settled and that no further amounts are due.

Please rest assured that we are reviewing our internal processes to prevent similar occurrences in the future and to improve the overall experience for our clients..
