No hot water in our apartment

This review is with the regard to the fact that as a tenant of Plumridge G4, the flat has no hot water sufficient for us as tenants to utilize.

For the past 2 months, hot water has not been consistent nor been hot enough for us to bath in. I have raised this concern with the previous manager Peter and the current manager Issac. while Isaac has tried to attend to this issue, it has not been fixed. In fact, right after he sent some men to correct this issue, they spent long hours working on it and the problem still remains. I have paid R450 in May and R540 in June for hot water that we do not receive/use. Compared to the cold water, we are using up more hot water simply because the hot water tap releases cold water more often then it releases hot water. A 5min shower takes way longer as we need to let out the water to the point where hot water can come out. Most cases, luke warm water comes out that is impossible to shower in during this cold winter.

My husband and I now go to work without having taken a bath as the water is very cold. Either at 4am, 5:30am, 6am, 8am, 11am, 13:00pm, 15:00pm the whole night, the water is cold or simply luke warm.

The people responsible to turn the boiler on claim that the boiler is very hot and that it is set high. Why then are we struggling to have hot water? As I write this email I have been waiting since 6am for the water to get hot enough to bath. This is a basic human right, this is my legal right as the contract I entered with the Ithemba Property. I pay my rent on time and cause no problems, please uphold your end of the deal by fixing this problem. if the boiler simply cannot reach my flat, consider installing a geyser.
