What ithemba is doing to me is pure evil 3months back they sent me a rent statement of only R174 & I paid that amount cause it’s what I was billed even though my rent is R7400 but I still said what I was billed , they never said anything to me for 2weeks they come to me saying I owe rent and I should send my proof of payment I sent them the statement they sent to me of R174 and then later sent them my proof of payment of the R174 the mistake was on their side not mine now they asking me to account & be liable for their Own mistake it has gotten to a point where now they locked me out of my apartment without me any notice and mind you I’ve paid my rent for the following month is just their mistake which I haven’t paid so I don’t understand how they able to lock me out of my apartment with no notice for the mistake they made themselves

Dear Nyiko,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention and for allowing us the opportunity to provide further clarification.

Upon reviewing your account, we identified that during the billing period reflected in your statement, where a charge of R174 appeared, a tenant inadvertently made a payment into our account using your payment reference number. When our Accounts Department conducted a follow-up on the tenant’s outstanding balance, they provided proof of payment (POP) confirming that the payment had been made in error under your reference.

As a result, the mistakenly app**** payment temporarily reduced your outstanding balance to R174 on your statement. Once the error was identified, our Accounts Department reallocated the payment to the correct account in order to accurately reflect the tenant’s rental payment.

Should you have any proof of payment indicating that the payment in question was made by you, we kindly request that you forward the documentation to us directly at ***, or alternatively, visit our offices for further assistance.

Please note that if no proof of payment is provided, the full outstanding balance from your July rental amount will remain due and payable to bring your account up to date.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter and remain available should you require any further clarification or assistance.

Regards
Ithemba Property
