******** listing on credit bureau

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Ithemba Properties regarding the handling of my account and the subsequent listing of my name with the credit bureau.

We had a mutual agreement that I would settle my outstanding balance through monthly payments of R500. In line with this agreement, I made payments as required. However, I discovered that two of my payments were not allocated to my account. Upon raising this issue with your office, it was acknowledged that the payments had indeed not been allocated.

As a result of this error, my account incorrectly reflected that I was not making payments. Despite this being an internal administrative issue on your side, my account was handed over for collection. I contacted your office, and I was assured that the matter would be rectified. I subsequently received written confirmation that the payments had not been allocated and that corrections had been made.

It is therefore deeply concerning and unacceptable that, despite acknowledging and correcting your error, my name was still listed with the credit bureau. This has negatively affected my credit profile due to no fault of my own.

I request the following actions as a matter of urgency:

* Immediate removal of skipped payment on my name from the credit bureau. * Written confirmation that the listing has been cleared. * A formal apology for the inconvenience and harm caused.

I trust that this matter will be treated with the seriousness it deserves and resolved promptly. Should this issue not be resolved within a reasonable timeframe, I will have no choice but to escalate the matter to the relevant regulatory authorities.

Kindly acknowledge receipt of this complaint and provide feedback on the steps being taken to resolve it.

Dear Lucille,

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We sincerely apologise for the distress and inconvenience caused by the handling of your account and the subsequent listing on the credit bureau.

We acknowledge your feedback regarding the payment arrangement of R500 per month and your adherence to this agreement. It is of particular concern that two of your payments were not correctly allocated to your account due to an internal administrative error on our side. We fully recognise the impact this had, including the incorrect reflection of your payment status and the resulting escalation of your account for collections. Please accept our sincere apologies for this oversight.

We further apologise for the confusion and frustration caused when, despite the matter being raised and acknowledged, your account was still handed over for collection and reflected negatively on your credit profile. This does not align with our internal standards, and we understand the seriousness of the impact such an error can have on your financial standing.

We would that  the necessary steps have been taken to rectify your account status. Your account has been updated to reflect the correct position.

In addition, your record should reflect the account as closed and paid up within the next seven (7) to ten (10) working days. Please note that this timeframe is dependent on processing by the respective credit bureaus.

Should your credit profile not reflect the updated status within this period, we kindly request that you contact us directly so that we may escalate the matter for urgent amendment and ensure it is resolved without further delay.

We understand your request for confirmation and resolution, and we trust that the above actions will address your concerns. We remain committed to improving our processes to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

Once again, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience while this matter has been resolved.

Kind Regards
Ithemba Property
