Leaking roof
I am extremely disappointed with the service from Ithemba Property. I reported a leaking roof in my apartment (The Emerald) via their app, yet no action was taken. Yesterday, rainwater entered my apartment again, damaging my appliances, including an inverter worth R7,000, which has now stopped working.
Their failure to address this maintenance issue has resulted in financial loss for me, and if the problem isn’t fixed immediately, further damage is inevitable. I have requested clarity on how they plan to compensate me for their negligence, but I am yet to receive a response.
This level of service is unacceptable. If Ithemba Property does not take urgent action to repair the roof and resolve my claim, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter legally. I urge potential tenants to be cautious when dealing with this company, as their lack of accountability and slow response time can lead to unnecessary expenses and frustration.

We strive to provide safe, comfortable housing but the issue was out of our control and we took care of the issue to ensure it doesn't happen again.
The waterproofing took longer to resolve because of the weather we've been having lately, if it rains we cannot get the supplier out to assist and we had to wait for the weather to be okay.
With regards to the damaged property you will need to claim from your insurance as per our lease agreement state.
