IThemba Property The Worst place to live in.

I've been living at Purchase place which is one of the IThemba property building from 2015 to date. Since living here i have always made rental payments on time however from time to time my unit eletricity would be cut off without notice by the building Manager. Upon inquiring i would be told that i didn't pay rent, wihich is what happened last Saturday 06/01/2024 around 3pm and i stayed without power for 24hours.

What made matters worse this time around is that i was dealing with an arrogant condensanding manager(Sizwe) who first ignored my phone calls the entire afternoon on Sunday, until a security personel came to my rescue upon showing her my proof of payment which confirmed payment was made on 23/12/2023.

Upon inquiring the following day from the manager (Sizwe) reasons that led to the power cut. He could not give me a valid reason and made all sorts of baseless accusations torwards me regarding the payment. When i pressed him further with questions, he started insulting me and threatened me with eviction.

I also tried to contact the portfolio manager Kgomotso whose cell phone went unanswered even before the writting of this review . The unprofessionalism of IThemba personel is shocking to say the least and non of their management has contacted me to apologise for their actions even after visiting their offices at Jewel City to complain about the issue.

They don't have respect for people's rights , their slogan "make yourself at home" is just a marketing gimic. They make you feel unwelcome. I believe in giving people room for mistakes but i realise that they are beyond redemption.
