Ithemba Property Management is taking tenants for fools
We're cruising nicely at Jewel City on Day4, of no electricity. What bothers me is that just 2weeks ago, another tenant was telling me (during yet another power outage), how last year December they endured 3days of no electricity. Which begs an answer to the question... What in the actual **** is going on here??? And don't tell me it's City Power, because buildings across the street from us are serviced by City Power, but seem to be exempted from the nightmare that befalls us. These outages are a weekly occurrence. Every week we're blessed with at least 24hours of power outages and that's just me being generous with my analysis, because it's definitely more. Then they "apologize for the inconvenience caused"... How about you call it what it really is? Which is pure and utter DISRESPECT!!! The Oxford Dictionary doesn't have a name yet, for this level of disrespect.
Contingency plan. Yes... Some nincom**** came up with a brilliant concept, as a contingency plan. A fire hazard that if a fire were to start in that room, none of us on the top floors would make it out alive. I'm talking about a small approx 5x3m room, used as a charging and cooking room currently. All those adapters loaded on TWO PLUGS!!! I'd laugh if my life wasn't on the line, but unfortunately this is the reality. Can someone reading this please call CoJ building inspectors, because at this point I'm too defeated to even fight this. All I can do is just write this rant, that will hopefully be used as evidence in court one day, should we burn to ashes in this building and someone is tried for our mass ******. This just makes no sense, putting our lives at risk instead of dealing with City Power - that's if the problem really is City Power. Unfortunately I have been trying to call City Power to check if there's any truth to what Ithemba is telling us, and verify those reference numbers they keep quoting- but I got tired of waiting. I'm determined enough to try and call again after lunch and get to the truth. If this problem existed as far back as December 2023, then I'd say Ithemba Property Management is pretty consistent in their disrespect of their tenants.
In the meantime;
1. If you don't have money for takeaway, you're not eating for 4days. 2. You're not ironing your clothes 3. Loss of income for those who make money on their phones and computers, and from what I've seen the past few days, there's plenty 4. Your food in the fridge is going off
