iThemba Property Management Dissatisfied Tenant
I have a huge problem with iThemba Property management and their leases and notice terms and conditions. The whole time I dealt with noisy neighbours next door from the moment I moved in and reported them almost everyday and they were only apparently reprimanded which never helped. I requested for fumigation and logged a ticket and it was closed claiming my room was fumigated whereas it never was,now due to this and ****roaches, I am moving out and I suddenly am expected to pay a fumigation fee when I never even received it. My deposit will be all kept by them just because of an early termination of 6 months instead of 12 months. Regardless of my living conditions I am basically forced to serve 12 months when im not even happy with their treatment. Honestly iThemba Property has to be the worst. They even charge you a fee if the room isn't cleaned properly, yet mine wasn't upon moving in. I had to clean it and report all the faults of the room to maintenance,my move in was not smooth at all, including a shelf my room was supposed to have and only received in the 5th month of being at Purchase Place. I'm beyond dissatisfied with all of this. Yes I signed the lease yet my termination reasons dont matter

In cases where neighbors are causing a disruption, our process begins with a formal warning, followed by fines should the behavior persist. According to our records, these procedures were followed.
We sincerely apologize that your unit was not fumigated as per your request. This matter has been noted, and an internal investigation will be conducted to understand why this request was not fulfilled. However, please note that the fumigation fee charged upon move-out is a standard requirement for all tenants. This is part of our process to ensure each unit is properly prepared— including professional cleaning—before a new tenant moves in.
We have also taken note of your concerns regarding the condition of the unit and will inform the responsible parties to ensure this matter is addressed.
Regarding the early termination of your lease, please note that such charges apply to any tenant choosing to vacate prior to the lease's agreed-upon end date. As stated in your lease agreement, the applicable charge in this instance is equal to one month's rent.
