Incompetence and unreasonable management(I feel targeted)

I’m staying at one of their apartments in the CBD, I’ve been here for almost 2 years now. Always paid rent on the 4/5 and never faulted it. This month I had a delay and my electricity was switched off, fingerprint is cancelled, my app doesn’t work and my WiFi account doesn’t work. Bare in mind I did notify the building managers about the delay as it’s stated on the lease and explained my situation to them but still they just said “go report it” and gave me the email. What’s the point of management if they can’t solve immediate issues in the building? I had multiple issues with this management and a pending issue that needed a meeting with the managers and the head of the offices in Jewel city but they haven’t rep**** to me. The incompetence and ********* conduct we experience from this place. Right now it’s the 6th, I don’t have electricity and I’m sitting with no fingerprint or access to my app. I’ve got so many pending issues from last year and none of them solved so now I’m being targeted for speaking up against these things.

Dear Alex,

We appreciate the opportunity afforded to us to address the concerns raised in your review and thank you for bringing these matters to our attention.

Please note that certain services provided within our buildings, including WiFi access  and application-based services (such as access code generation), operate as automated systems. In accordance with the terms of the lease agreement, these non-essential, automated services may be temporarily deactivated should rental payments not be received on or before the due date.

These services are designed to automatically resume once the outstanding rental amount has been settled in full, in line with the tenant’s contractual obligations to Ithemba Property. As the deactivation and reactivation processes are system-driven, it is important that any payment arrangement is formally captured on our system under the relevant unit. This ensures that approved arrangements are recognized and that automated service interruptions are prevented.

To facilitate this, tenants are required to log a ticket with our office requesting a payment arrangement. Once the arrangement has been reviewed, approved, and processed on the system, the applicable safeguards will be app**** to the unit in question. Should you wish for us to proceed with capturing such an arrangement, kindly email us before close of business today, and we will gladly assist.

With regard to essential services, we would like to clarify that, in accordance with the Housing Act, property management companies are not permitted to deactivate essential services, such as electricity, except where allowed by law. If you are currently experiencing any electricity-related issues within your unit, we kindly request that you contact one of the building managers for immediate assistance.

Additionally, should you still wish to request a meeting with the building management team or any other relevant parties to address outstanding concerns, please log a ticket directly with us outlining the specific challenges you are experiencing. This will allow us to arrange a meeting with the appropriate stakeholders to ensure your concerns are properly addressed.

We remain committed to resolving matters transparently and collaboratively and appreciate your cooperation in this regard.

Regards
Ithemba Property
