False credit listing – invoice printed in February, no due date, ticket "closed" but still "investigating" – *********** support

I rented a property managed by Ithemba Property Management. After vacating on 30 January 2026, they falsely reported a "January missed payment" against my credit record.

Despite multiple emails, they have failed to provide any valid proof. Here are the facts.

1. My January rent was paid on time I paid my January rent and utilities on 26 January 2026. January is not missed.

2. Their own invoice proves my case Their final invoice (Tax Invoice No: ***) shows:

Printed on: 12 February 2026

For the Month: February 2026

No due date anywhere

You cannot report a missed payment for January when your own invoice was printed in February, labelled February, and has no due date.

3. They admitted final statements are generated after vacating In an email dated 11 May 2026, Palesa from Ithemba wrote: "Final statements are generated after you have vacated the unit, usually on the 15th of the month."

But my invoice is dated 25 January 2026 – five days before I vacated on 30 January. Their own statement contradicts their invoice.

4. They sent a report card, not proof They sent me an out-inspection report signed by their landlord. I never initialed it. I never signed it. The document itself says the tenant must initial to accept liability. I did not They also refuse to provide the original contractor's invoice for the R1,210 "Recovery Maint Flats" charge. A report card they filled out themselves is not evidence.

5. They are "investigating" but the ticket is already closed Palesa wrote that they are still investigating why a missed payment appears after I vacated. But their ticket is marked "closed". How can you be investigating a closed ticket?

This makes no sense. It shows their support team is either *********** or dishonest.

6. They confirmed I may escalate to the Tribunal Palesa wrote: "You are well within your rights to escalate the matter to the Tribunal." I agree. I am doing exactly that.

What I have asked for:

The original contractor invoice for the R1,210 maintenance charge

A due date in writing (which does not exist)

Removal of the false credit listing

What I received:

A report card signed by their own landlord

Photos with no explanation

A "closed" ticket that they are still "investigating"

My advice to anyone reading this: Do not rent from Ithemba Property Management. Their support team is full of *********** people. They will list you first, investigate later (maybe), close tickets while still investigating, and then send you a report card they signed themselves as "proof". What happens now? I am lodging a formal complaint with the Rental Housing Tribunal. I am also disputing the false listing directly with the credit bureaus.

Save yourself the headache. Rent from someone else.
