I've been a tenant of the Metropolitan building(flat) for 2years. I had an unfortunate situation which made it hard for me to pay my rental for 2months and it was communicated to management. Until i come home one day with my children and found my apartment locked and locks were changed by management, without any court orders handed over to me. According to the PIE Act: a landlord cannot evict him from the property without eviction proceedings, which were never practiced and the date was 03/05/2018? They further more proceeded to keep my property locked in the apart to date. When i ask the management to make payment arrangements so that i may take my property out as i am not comfortable with it being in there, they simply refuse. I have friends in the building and Isaac Masum all of a sudden decided that i he doesn't want me to visit my friends and for my kids to visit their friends, Isaac Masum then reveals my situation to people that have no business with my lease agreement and he explains all my personal financial business with complete strangers, which is also not right because of the private and confidential policy. He(Isaac Masum) then continues and this is after i have lodge a complaint and my friend has lodged a complaint about his lack of leadership s****s and his disrespectful attitude towards tenants has supposedly been addressed and he, the next day curses at my friend when he questions this "rule that, i am not to visit them with my children" Please advise on how to handle this matter? There are more cases at hand that the Ithemba property trust has been made aware of and nothing concrete has been done about them and we can not go on being abused and violated by this company any more, please help?
