Electricity is a scheme!! Eyethu House

I moved in at Eyethu House last month. I moved in with no big appliances. After a week of being there, I noticed that the electricity was using up quite quickly. I am hardly at the apartment and when I am I only use two plugs and the lights. I did not have a fridge at the time and was not using the stove until a few days ago. The electricity was being consumed even when I would leave for work before 7 and only be back after 10 in the evening. Switching off all my lights and plugs before I left. I enquired with the building manager and all she could say was, "That's just how it is. Electricity is expensive these days". Prior to moving, I saw a lot of complaints about the same issue at different properties. How does 11.54 units of electricity get consumed in an hour and a half. This is ridiculous.
