Dispute of outstanding accounts and credit listing.🥺🥺🥺🥺

Dear Hello Peter,

I am writing to bring to your attention a pressing matter regarding my tenancy at Ithemba property, which I vacated on July 31, 2025, at 12 o'clock. As per our agreement, I served a one-month notice, and I have documentation to prove that I signed the necessary paperwork.

However, I have several concerns that I would like to address:

Att: Ithemba Property Management:

1. Deposit Refund: I did not receive my full deposit of R1400. Instead, I received R595, with the remaining balance allegedly deducted for painting as they never stated on the contract that when moving out tenants are responsible for painting the room.

2. Credit Bureau Listing: I recently discovered now after 3 month I have moved out of Ithemba property I have been listed with a credit bureau for an outstanding amount of R3150, which I dispute. As I have fulfilled my obligations and did not receive any communication them regarding any out payment of which I don’t have any outstanding balance with them and the form I have signed with never stated that I will be charge Early Termination as my contact was expired and I was on month to month lease and I did serve them with 1 month notice before moving out and the termination form that I have signed on the email they have send was say 00.00. I request that you rectify this situation and remove the listing.

3. Impact on Credit Score: The credit bureau listing has negatively affected my credit score, and I hold your company responsible for the damages.

4. After-Move-Out Statement: I was not provided with a final statement within the stipulated three months. I request that you provide me with a detailed account of the charges was for what as the final statement I got was saying -595. Sad part I never receive a sample call or email regarding the issue. I only discovered now after 3 month my name is listed for something I don’t even know.

Kind regards

Lesedi

Dear Lesedi,

Thank you for your query.

Please note that your account was not reported as being in arrears. However, it does still show as open which we need to correct.

This will be done during our next credit reporting submission on 8 November 2025, after which the account will reflect as closed and fully paid on your credit profile.

Reviewer Update

Dear Ithemba Property Management

Thank you for your response. While I appreciate the clarification, I'm still disappointed that the error hasn't been fully resolved. The listing on my credit profile has had significant consequences, including impacting my ability to purchase a car. Given the circumstances, I believe a formal apology is insufficient. I would like to request some form of compensation, such as a voucher or a gesture of goodwill, to acknowledge the distress and financial inconvenience caused by your company's mistake.

I look forward to hearing your proposal on how we can move forward.

Best regards,
Lesedi
