Deposit Refund
i’ve been waiting for my deposit for over 3 weeks now. according to the terms and conditions, the deposit should be paid within 30 days of the termination date, which was 28 November 2025. i moved out on 22 December 2025, followed all protocols and still nothing. the building manager is ignoring my attempts to contact him. ithemba, i would like to know why i haven’t received my deposit.

Kindly refer to Clause 7 of your lease termination notice, which outlines the applicable guidelines regarding deposit refunds;
7. Deposit Refund: We will refund the remaining balance of your deposit within 30 days of your lease termination date.
a. The Lease Termination Date is the last day of the month in which you vacate (i.e. if you submit your Notice of Termination on 4 August 2024, your lease termination date will be 31 August 2024), and your deposit should be paid by 30 September 2024.
b. Any cost of maintenance, early termination fees and metered (arrears) utilities will be deducted from your deposit.
In your case, the lease termination date recorded on the termination form is 31 December. In accordance with this, the deposit refund is scheduled for processing on 31 January 2026. Please note that once the deposit has been released, it may take up to 72 working hours to reflect in your account, depending on your banking institution.
The date captured on the termination notice is the date recorded on our system and is used to determine the applicable refund timeline.
