Continued incorrect listing of skipped payment on credit bureau
I am writing to lodge a formal complaint again regarding the continued incorrect reporting of my account to the credit bureau. In April, I raised a complaint after I was referred to your attorneys for an alleged skipped payment and was subsequently listed on the credit bureau. During the investigation, I provided proof of payment, and ithemba Properties confirmed that the payment had indeed been received but had not been correctly allocated to my account. Following this confirmation, I was assured that the matter would be rectified and that your attorneys would be instructed to remove the incorrect credit bureau listing. However, upon receiving my latest credit report yesterday, I discovered that the issue has not only remained unresolved but has worsened. The report now reflects two skipped payments. Despite having settled the outstanding balance in April, my account is now incorrectly showing an additional skipped payment for April, resulting in a second adverse listing on my credit profile. This is unacceptable and has caused significant prejudice to my credit standing. The incorrect reporting appears to stem from administrative errors on your side, specifically the failure to properly allocate payments and update account records. When I make a follow up with the lawyer, they informed me that my account is closed. I therefore request the following as a matter of urgency: 1. Immediate correction of my account records. 2. Immediate removal of all incorrect adverse listings relating to the alleged skipped payments. 3. Written confirmation that the credit bureaus and your attorneys have been instructed to update and correct my credit profile. 4. A detailed explanation as to how a second skipped-payment listing was recorded after the matter had already been acknowledged and addressed. Please treat this matter as urgent and provide a written response within 7 days of receipt of this email. Should the matter not be resolved promptly, I will have no option but to escalate the complaint to the relevant regulatory and consumer protection authorities. I trust that iThemba Properties will take the necessary steps to correct this matter without further delay.
