Bad customer service

To whom this may concern;

I have had such bad service from the minute I moved in with Ithemba Properties. At first I was open minded to the whole thing but when I realized that the people that work here are very rude. My sister's and I recently moved in and we had to go do our fingerprints. We had explained to the letting agent (Deon) that our brother does not work in SA but works in America and our brother was visiting when we got the place. He had to email our ID numbers and fill in documents to add our names to the lease. He said he would complete it and send us all docs but he didn't. We had a problem with getting our fingerprints done for 3 weeks. We tried to find a solution have them send one email with everything he needs to do but they kept on sending him one email at a time. We went to the letting offices and met Lehlohonolo, who spoke to us in a rude manner, like he didn't want to speak to us. And still came back on another day and then he decided to speak about us and laugh with colleague. To conclude, just after we made payment of deposit and rent, our queries were side lined. We have a broken bathroom sink, we have pipes that ooze water in the kitchen. I contacted the head office spoke to Sibusiso Mabuza and he had assured me that the problem would be fixed and unfortunately it is still not fixed. This has been the worst experience.

Dear Emily,

Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention and for giving us the opportunity to address them and work towards a resolution.

Please note that it is our standard procedure to ensure that the leaseholder is involved in any changes relating to the lease, including the addition of occupants to the unit. This is essential because the leaseholder assumes full responsibility for the unit and serves as the landlord’s primary point of contact throughout the duration of the lease. Obtaining the leaseholder’s consent within the current structure is therefore a crucial step in ensuring that all authorizations are lawful and valid for both parties.

While this process is important, we sincerely apologize for the manner in which the situation was handled during your visit to our offices. We acknowledge the concerns raised regarding the conduct of our staff members, Deon and Lehlohonolo. Please be assured that these matters have been duly noted and escalated internally to the appropriate individuals for review and corrective action. We are committed to maintaining a high standard of customer service, and we regret that your experience did not reflect this.

We are pleased to inform you that your fingerprints have now been successfully enrolled, and the necessary repairs to your unit have been completed. Should you have any further concerns or require additional assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out via our Ithemba Residents application or via ***. We remain committed to supporting you and ensuring your continued comfort.

Kind Regards
Ithemba Property
