1/5 stars - Disappointing Experience with Ithemba Properties

I'm extremely dissatisfied with my recent experience with Ithemba Properties. While I was able to collect my furniture, the payment process was a nightmare. The money sent to my account didn't reflect, causing unnecessary delays and stress.

To make matters worse, the customer service was unhelpful and unresponsive. I felt like my concerns were ignored, and my issues weren't taken seriously.

The most concerning aspect, however, was that the building manager took it upon themselves to move my furniture without my knowledge or presence. Not only was this a huge inconvenience, but it also meant that my personal belongings were handled and touched by someone without my permission. This was a huge invasion of my privacy and a clear disregard for my personal property.

Furthermore, I was told that I could initiate a unit transfer, which never happened. To this day, I still haven't received any assistance or information about the whereabouts of my belongings. It's unacceptable that I've been left in the dark and without any support or guidance from the management team.

Overall, I would not recommend Ithemba Properties to anyone. The lack of communication, poor customer service, and blatant disregard for customers' convenience and personal property are major red flags. Hopefully, the company will take steps to address these issues and improve their services.

Hello Basetsana,

Thank you for reaching out. I understand that this situation is difficult, and I want to address your concerns.

Your lease for the unit was terminated due to non-payment of rent. According to the terms of the lease agreement, rent payments were due on the 1st of every month, and after several reminders, the outstanding balance was not settled by the agreed-upon date.

Unfortunately, despite our efforts to resolve the matter, we had to proceed with the lease termination.
As a result, the property was reclaimed on 29th of January, and the lease is now considered terminated.

Transfers can only be processed if units are available and considering that this happened in our letting season for the year and most buildings are full at this time, which could have been the reason why you could not be transferred.

Best,
Ithemba Property Management
