We went into a contract with Itec for the leasing of a Printer in 2011. It was a C35 printer. We had a lot of problems with the printer, at least twice a month the printer was not working. The printer that Itec sold to us could not take the load. The sales Lady Liesl Menzies then came to see Mr Niemand and Karien to make a offer that we keep the C35 printer and use that printer at the University of Pretoria and then she can give us a new C224 printer for only R2999 per month for 5 years she never explained to our Director Mr Niemand that there will be a escalation of 15% every year. Last year the 29 June 2016 I asked for a settlement on the 2 printers and was shock to hear that the settlement on the C35 is still R27 173.28 and on the C224 the settlement is R177 046.68 this after we have paid this machine for more that 2 years already and can me please ad that this machine is not even R80 000 worth. We end up paying almost R11000 per month for the 2 machines and the copies that we make every month. Our contract on the C35 ended last year end of November thanks for that. But we are still sitting with the C224 printer. We were approached by Samsung that offered us a brand new machine for half the price and we do not have any escalation every year so the rental will be the same for 6 years. I again asked Itec for a settlement amount on the 29 August 2017 and was shocked to year that we still owe them R97 988.71. I asked them for a brake down on this costs and was surprised to see that R30 422.64 of the settlement was for services. In the almost 5 years that we had the machine Itec never came to our offices to service any of the 2 machines. So we have paid itec for a service that was never rended. I told Liesl Menzies in a email the 31 August 2017 that we are not going to pay the amount of R30 422.64 and that I want signed job cards of proof that the services was done and that she and her Manager are more than welcome to make a appointment to come and see us so that we can sort this matter out. But as bad as Itec is I never received a responds. On the 6th September I have resend the email to her and still no responds. The bank settled the rental agreement that was still outstanding for the amount of R67 556.07 and I want Itec to come and collect there machine that was also not explained to us that after we have paid almost half a million rand for a machine that it still belongs to Itec. I will never to business with Itec every in my life and I hope that the Director of Itec will have the ***** to sort this matter out.
