IT CO AUTO (Jaco Scott): Automotive and IT industry: Is a ****
Complaint: Hello Peter ~ I have had (mechanical) car trouble since December 2021, when I have asked on Facebook (Ek is van die Ooste Group) who can assist as my car is stationary at my house.
This is when Jaco Scott (Company name: IT CO AUTO, e-mail address: ***, cellphone number: ***) approached me, on 29 December 2021.
Jaco Scott visited my home on 29 December 2021 (if my memory serves me right), when I have informed him that we think it is my car’s Throttle Body giving trouble. He then requested that I pay him (he did not provide me with any paperwork and I was in a vulnerable position as all the other places were closed for the festive season) and he returned the next day and installed a new Throttle Body in my car.
My car seemed to be working, but shortly after I requested Jaco Scott to come back as the car would not start (again).
Jaco Scott visited my home once again (for the last time) on 31 December 2022, when he was there for approximately 3 hours (he was back and forth to his bakkie and back). He then left with one car part (which he said was a fuse) which he said must be replaced. He contacted me later that day and said that I must pay him R 878.00 for 4 fuses (he later on said that it was not a fuse, but a relay, then 4 relays) (he did not provide me with any paperwork, once again).
The issue: I paid him R 878.00 on 3 January 2022, for the 4 Relays.
Jaco Scott has up to date not yet provided me with:
a) the old relay/ fuse he has removed from my car and/or; b) the new relay/ fuse I have paid for and/or; c) a refund (R 878.00)
after I have requested him twice, to do so.
The first prize would be if Jaco Scott can provide me with both the old and the new relay / fuse.
