What the hell??

I app**** for iStore credit at the end of June 2017. I was called twice during the week 3rd July 2017 to 6th July 2017 telling me that I had been approved for credit and that I would get a call asking me for a delivery address for my card. I was told twice that the call was being recorded.

I was sent a credit agreement via email giving me all the information about my credit - how much credit I was to be given, repayment schedule etc.

On the 7th July 2017 I phoned to ask where my card was. I was told by the operator that he would check and revert by 12h00 (lunchtime) that day. I was given a reference number ********** 158. I never got a call.

I phoned again on the 10th July 2017 and was put through to Ayanda Lekhula from Standard Bank who informed me that I had not received my card because I was a bad credit risk. I told her that I had been told twice that my credit was approved and I had a cost of credit letter. Oh she said send it to me I will get right back to you.

I have sent 4 emails thats right FOUR emails asking for a response. I have received nothing absolutely NOTHING. Not a phone call or an email - NOTHING - SILENCE.

I am now very concerned as I have never been considered a bad credit risk ever and I would like to know what my credit rating is now. DO NOT THINK FOR ONE MOMENT I WANT ANY FORM OF ANY CREDIT FROM EITHER STANDARD BANK OR ISTORE AFTER THIS. I DO NOT.

I want an official letter from Standard Bank and iStore telling me what happened and why and that my credit rating is fine with an apology. Please do not come back to me and tell me that you cannot do this. I have already sought legal advise.

If I do not hear from both Standard Bank and iStore regarding this I shall have no option but to hand all of this over to not only my lawyer but also the press and every social media platform I can find.

Regards

Sarah Bruce
