Wait time to be assisted

On Saturday I was at iStore Clearwater store to enquire about an iPhone and getting it on contract. I explained to the consultant that I don't have the supporting documents on me by wanted to find out about getting a contract and if they can see what I qualify for. I was told I give my details and would be attended to. I asked how long it would take and was advised it would take approximately 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes I had asked another consultant how far I was in the que to be attended to and asked the same question and was told I was number 3 in the que and only consultant would advise me on that.

After a whole hour of waiting I was attended to only to be told all documents are required before they could assist me.

My issue here is that I should have been told this from words go instead of wasting a whole hour standing around. From my observation there are plenty of staff standing around doing absolutely nothing and could have been assisted.

After waiting a whole and being told I could not be assisted I then went to the Vodacom shop and was told upfront that all documents is required.
