Totally pathetic service

On the 13th of September I installed the new ios 10 update to my iPhone and like many people around the world, it made my phone unusable. There was an issue with the update itself however I only found this out after actually doing the update.

So the next day I went to the Somerset West branch of the iStore to get some assistance. Everything was going swimmingly until they asked me where I bought my iPhone. I told them that it is on contract with MTN and that's when they said that they would have to charge me R200. R200 for something that was essentially Apple's fault.

After questioning them as to why i'm being charged, I was then told that they are not Apple and that my phone was not bought instore after hearing this, I just left, knowing I was not going to win with these people.

The strange thing is that on the night of the 13th I went to the Canal Walk branch and they were willing to assist me at no charge. The only reason why they didnt was because it was 15 minutes before their closing time and the whole restore process would have taken about an hour.

Apple pride themselves on the experince of going into an iStore and being assisted by their highly trained staff and based on this experience, I will never step foot into this iStore again.
