SHOP LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE!!!

iStore Mall of Africa- 5 October 2021. I went to purchase a Mac and the sales lady [1] was very helpful and had knew her stuff, she seemed great and I left a happy customer. Until I found out she **** to me. I said that I will be using the device for work on word and excel so she said I need to buy Office for Mac for R999.99 a year. I said that I probably won't need it and that if I do that I will come back and purchase the activation key, she said that it would be better for me to get it then and that if don't need it I can return it within the 7 day period so long as I don't scratch the code open or damage it. So I took her advice and got the office key and when I went back to return it on the 7th [in the exact condition I bought it] I was told by another sales lady [2] that they don't return gift cards or software because it is activated upon purchase, I told her that the other lady [1] told me I could return it and I had my witness with me who was also assured by sales lady 1 that I could return it, Sales lady 2 allegedly asked 3 managers in the back if I could return or exchange the item and you guessed it the answer was no, So sales people are allowed to lie to their customers hoping that they won't return the item and get caught out for BLATANTLY lying?? I am beyond furious that someone else's lie is costing me R1000. Salesperson 1: C02546
