Pathetic customer service for contract applications

I had app**** for a Telkom contract in December of 2021 the consultant I had dealt with advised me that my application has been sent to the credit department for review and I would have to wait at least 2 to 5 business days for them to process it, which I accepted as being within reason. A full week went by and I had no response from the consultant, I went into the store on the 23rd of December and a different consultant advised me that the application was still not approved and because it was so close to Christmas it was only going to be completed after New Year’s Day. I was pretty frustrated at this point but so some reason in this and decided to wait. I returned to the store on the 5th of January 2022 and they the consultant I was initially dealing with told me the same thing again, the application is still being reviewed by telkom, I was very upset at this point and asked to speak to his manager. I waited in store for about 30 minutes before the consultant returned to me and told me the manager is in a meeting and would not be able to speak to me, he instead brought out one of the supervisors who didn’t even know what the contract process was or what we should do about the matter, the consultant just told me that they can not do anything to speed the process up. I was very upset at this point and went to a telkom store to see if they could take over the application. When I arrived at telkom, they had told me that my application was closed in December and istore did not submit the correct information for credit review, I immediately went back to istore and demanded to speak to the manager, who after about another 15 minutes of waiting eventually strolled in to greet me. The store manager a young woman, does not even understand how the application works nor did she have any knowledge of my application with it being a month of waiting FOR NOTHING!

This store has very poor service and consultants that do not take their customers seriously and very weak management to back them up.

I do not recommend istore ballito junction for telkom contract applications, absolutely pathetic customer service.
