No support for known issue

I bought a MacBook in 2015, Apple launched a replacement program for the USB-C charge cable.
Even though my cable falls within the range specified, iStore says the only way they can help is by sending it away for 7 working days. This means that my MacBook will be without a charge cable for 7 days. Apple products are really impressive, but not that impressive (last for 8 days on one charge).

iStore Brooklyn Pretoria was terribly unhelpful. After being sent from one assistant to the next (5 times), I end up at assistant no 2, which turns out to be the manager of the store. He says that he will try and find out from Menlyn if they have a lending cable. In the meantime, I contact Apple directly (telephonically) and even though they want to help me, are unable to assist.

After my call, the manager "found" a lending cable. At this point they wanted my proof of purchase. For crying in a bucket. I have a premium product and this is the type of service I get. As I do not have my proof of purchase (other than me standing there with my MacBook in hand), I have no choice but to go home with NO way to charge my MacBook.

If it wasn't for the hardware and software, I would not tolerate this type of unhelpful, unfriendly service.

So, I will have to find a different store to BUY a cable, since the replacement program is obviously not going to work for me and Brooklyn's iStore will definitely have to make a lot of improvements before I will ever visit again.
