No help with broken iPhone Screen
I am the happy owner of an iPhone. Two weeks ago I dropped the phone and the screen was badly damaged. As a sensible iPhone owner, my first port of call was my closest iStore in Canal Walk, Western Cape, South Africa. When, after a long wait, I came to the front of the queue at the support desk and showed my phone to a very irritable consultant, I was told that he could not speak to me if I did not have an appointment. I duly returned home and made an appointment online. At the appointment today I had to hear that (1) Apple did not repair phones in Africa, (2) unless I had an iCare package they could not assist and (3) they could not refer me to a third party repair facility - I had to source one myself. So I spend the past 10 days waiting to be told that Apple could not and would not help me. Ridiculous.

The only positive thing in the whole experience was the way in which Ms Engelbrecht, today's support consultant at the iStore in Canal Walk, dealt with this embarrassing issue.
