iStore not honouring Black Friday deal.

On Thursday morning, 22nd Nov 2018, I walked into the iStore at Clearwater Mall to check on the Black Friday Specials. I was met at the entrance by a young man, called Immanuel, handing out a brochure/pamphlet showing all of the Black Friday Specials. Within minutes I saw a deal that I really liked and needed so I asked the young man if they have enough stock and I will come in early the next morning(Black Friday) to purchase the deal. To my surprise he said that I could get the same deal immediately, there and then. I asked if he was sure of his facts as I would have to come back with the apple products that I needed to trade-in with the deal. He said that he was 100% sure ! The deal was on the top section of the last page of the brochure and stated: 'Get your FREE Apple Pencil with any iPad (6th Generation) purchase'.

I also bought a Brydge Aluminium Keyboard for the iPad and paid R1999.00 plus the iPad that I chose. He assured me that it was no problem so I went back at around 4:50pm the same day. I traded in 2 x products and paid the difference and everybody was happy, or so I thought. When I got home I excitedly opened my purchases but soon discovered that the FREE Apple Pencil was not given to me. I immediately sms'd Immanuel with the discovery and also phoned him the next morning. He said that that I must bring the iPad into the store that same day as he will have to put it through the system in order to allocate a Apple Pencil to me. I was happy with that but when he did not phone me back, as he wanted to confirm stock, I got concerned and phoned he and it was then that he told me that they had no stock. I phoned his many times over the period Friday 23rd to Monday 26th as I wanted to speak to his manager about this but all in vain ....... On Monday afternoon I finally spoke to the manager and she told me the the deal was for Black Friday only , even though she was there all the time and saw for herself that I was not given the pencil. She told me at around lunchtime today 27th that the powers that be refused to allow her to give me my Apple Pencil. This is false advertising as well as passing the buck by blaming Immanuel for not giving me the pencil when I made the purchase. Whoever is to blame is not my concern - iStore must adhere to their promises and supply me with a FREE Apple Pencil. And I was certainly well with-in the , 'for the first 200 customers only'.
