Istore Loch Logan bad service

With the launch of the iPhone 8 on 20 October 2017 I went to the Istore in Loch Logan in Bloemfontein. With the iPhone on such high demand I left home at 3 in the morning, as I do not stay in Bloemfontein, to make sure that I will be at the store early enough to be in first in line to ensure that I will be garenteed to get a phone. I got to the store just after 6, I were 3rd n line and I got a confirmation that I am garenteed to get an iPhone 8 plus 256GB and that there are watches available as I wanted to do an upgrade to both devices on one contract. That is where the issue started. I was informed that the combo deals have not been received from Vodacom yet. I left the store with the assurance that the phone will be kept for me. I went back and I were told the deals still haven’t been loaded. After 12pm I went back again and were told that still the deals haven’t been loaded. by This time I have phoned the call centers of Vodacom and istore for assistance but no one could help me. I asked the consultant if they can keep the phone and watch for me until Saturday morning when I were willing to travel the distance again to go and do the upgrade. Just before 6pm I got a call from the istore in Loch Logan and the guy said he had some good and some bad news for me. By then the deal that I wanted was loaded on the system, but that the phone was given to another customer because of an OBF. I’m very thankful that I was informed before I had to waste my petrol and time again. But I still can’t understand how the phone that I was garenteed be given to someone else. Even if it was an OBF, what would they have done if there were no other phones available. It is totally unacceptable. After being a huge Apple brand supporter I have lost all my love for the brand and at this stage don’t even know if I want an iPhone 8 anymore. Very disappointed and frustrated
