Good Morning, Please address this as a matter of urgency and as care for the brand. Pathetic, arrogant, and unprofessional staff! If I could, I'd not even half a star for this store. On Saturday 11-03-2017 I walked into the iStore at 2pm to perform an upgrade on my Vodacom account. I met with a young Indian lady who seemed to be a trainee. I told her what I was there for, and she rep****, "You need to make an appointment in order to do an upgrade". A day earlier, I called the iStore Contact Centre to find out if the Gateway store had stock of the iPhone 7+ 256GB in Black. I was told yes. I asked if there was anything that was required and I was told only my ID and Proof of Address. Moving on, I left the store and called the Contact Centre again and asked them about the appointment. The gent over the phone apologized and told me there is no such thing as making an appointment for an upgrade. It's first come, first serve. He contacted the store and spoke to someone and he advised that I should go back in. I went back in, asked someone else, a young White Gent. Told him my story and he told me that the one Vodacom Consultant went home and the other is on lunch. Firstly, Saturday is the most convenient day for most people that actually WORK! Why would you only have 2 consultants? Secondly, Why didn't the consultant take her lunch break earlier when the other was on duty?? So I understood that people need to eat and it's a part of life. I was asked to come back in an hour which was at 3PM. I got back at 3PM and spoke to the young Indian lady, and she told me the consultant is on lunch and will be back at 3:30pm. I was irate at this stage as I wasted an hour of my time already. I asked her if there was no one else that could help, to which she rep**** no. Fair enough. Specialists are needed in the industry. I left the store and got back 30 min later, only to be told by a fairly over-weight Indian on a 2 Wheel Board that the Vodacom network is down and upgrades cannot be done. I lost all my patience at this stage as this store wasted 1.5 hours of my valuable time. I asked him why no one could tell me this earlier and why did they lie about the consultant being on lunch. I asked to speak to Alex or Eugene, but they told me that they were not available. I asked to speak to the person that was 2IC. Waited almost 15 minutes whilst the Indian Dude on the 2 wheel board laughed at pictures on a cell phone that someone showed him, almost falling over equipment and creating such a mockery of himself! Each staff member took turns to ride this 2 wheel board and go around the store like little kids in an amu*****t park! I've got pictures to prove this! Met this 2IC Indian lady, who seemed as if she smoked ****. She reeked of Alcohol, as if she had a hard night. Arrogant as ever. Never introduced herself. Asked me "what do you want here", in a tone as if I got there to beg! Seriously? Is this the type of people that iStore hires? When I told her what was wrong and fired questions at her she got extremely upset and started taking off with me as if I came asking them for something that she was going to pay for! Firstly, this woman among ALL staff members of this store should be fired! They do not deserve to be working for such a prestigious brand! No apology whatsoever for causing delays on my end, the countless lies spoken to a customer, the arrogance and unprofessional behaviour. I asked the manager if I could lay a complaint with the HO, her reply was "Yah, you can. I don't care." This is the worst possible service and experience I have ever received from anyone. As a manager, there was no consolation given to her customer. Someone needs to handle this immediately and something needs to be done with this store. Either close it down, or hire people with a brain! No *********** fools like this! It is due to people like this that the economy is dropping and businesses are crashing!
