iStore Card Application Nightmare

It is unfortunate that I only reviewed the bad reviews from HelloPeter on the iStore Card Application after submitting my own application. This might have sufficed as a warning and I might then not have been this dissappointed.

I app**** in November and received an email confirming my successfull application with the attached cost of credit shortly thereafter. Within a day or two someone from the iStore card division / Standard Bank phoned me to organise delivery of my card. I rep**** to him that I hadn't yet submitted my supporting documents and shortly thereafter I submitted same via email.

The nightmare started thereafter. Christine Salman from Standard Bank started communicating with me on the 8th December 2016 where she requested either bank statements or my payslip. I then submitted my payslips and told her that should she require additional proof of income that I will go to the bank to collect my bank statements.

Therafter I never head anything from her. I sent numerous emails to request feedback. On the 3rd of January this year Kholosa Thintwa finally rep**** with an email explaining that my application was unsuccessful. I then proceeded with communication requesting reasons for this and received a phone call from Kolosa in which she promised to follow up with the credit department and to then let me know the reason why my application had been unsuccessful. To date I have not heard anything.

My credit record is pristine and my affairs are in order so I demand to know the reason for my unsuccesful application in order to establish any wrong doing on my part.

Personally I am of the opinion that Christine Salman failed to submit my supporting documents and subsequently my application was rejected. I cannot be penalised or disadvantaged due to the negligence of someone else.

I have since phoned the iStore card division / Standard Bank and sent emails and once again absolutely NO FEEDBACK.

It is unfortunate that a great brand such as Apple should be affiliated with a non-committed partner such as Standard Bank.
