iStore APPLE SERVICE ROTTEN TO THE CORE

Apple NEVER fails to disappoint. I went against the advice of many who cautioned I should buy anything BUT Apple and recently bought 2 new iPads partly because I got suckered into believing that the brand would keep its promise of offering a measly trade in. Attempting to get this done took THREE attempts - one of which made me vow to never set foot in the Sandton iStore again. Then after making 2 trips to the Cresta iStore, I am told that the serial numbers show that one of the iPads I wished to trade in was bought in Hong Kong and the other in New York. Both were bought in Jhb (one was either from the dreaded Sandton iStore or from Incredible Connection Rosebank and the other I bought with eBucks from FNB). When I was getting absolutely nowhere with the service desk staff. I asked for the manager who had clearly perfected the shrug-your-shoulders-and-add-stupid-grin school of disinterested customer service, so I gave up. Firstly, even if your claim were true, why, - as a global brand positioning yourselves as a world leader - would it make one iota of difference where Sandton iStore, Incredible Connection or FNB source their products from? As far as I can ascertain, Core Technologies has the monopoly (which seems to be the BIGGEST part of the problem). And secondly, why make promises that you know you are going to squirm out of? Word quickly gets around. I have a Mac, an iPhone and an iPad and the only person I have ever had good service from at Apple is Thandeka Morake at Cresta when buying the new iPads. Aside from Thandeka Apple service is rotten to the core - not only have I consistently had to put up with appalling attitudes but have also been **** to by many of the very disinterested, arrogant, ****ly little geeks in Apple stores. My journey with overrated and expensive Apple products ENDS HERE but my journey with bad-mouthing Apple - the company - has only just begun ...
