iPhone trade-in vouchers are a ****

I app**** for trade-in vouchers for my iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S to the amount of R3000 and R2000 respectively. This would have allowed me to buy the new iPhone 6 cash. <br> <br> Things started off on the wrong foot when the consultant said that the vouchers are not valid for cash purchases. I showed him the voucher that clearly stated that it is accepted towards cash purchases. They then proceeded to inspect the phone. Based on an almost imperceptible blemish on the phone, they said I do not qualify for the full price. The phone now only qualifies for R1300, rather than R3000. That a 57% discount on the already discounted price of R3000, because the phone is second hand. I can understand if the price was discounted by R200-R300 for blemishes, but the price on the voucher should be indicative of a product in a typical condition when 2 years old and used, otherwise it is false advertising.<br> <br> I haven't even tried to trade in the iPhone 4S, because they will probably find some excuse why it is only worth R500 or less.
