Iphone screen cracked while ios update

I am very upset with what happened to my new device, while updating the latest software version it overheated and the screed cracked on two places of the left top side. The tempered glass screen protector is in tact but the screen cracked, I googled and found im nit the only person it happened to.

This is my 6th iphone and the only reason i had to go back to a six was due to a inferior insurance payout for my iphone 7. I have a ipad mini still in mint condition so i really tale good care of my devices.

I called your call centre and was advised that I will need to take it to a istore to book it in and it can take upto 6 weeks???? Because it needs to be sent to tour service centre in jet park that is 3km from where I stay.

I have to say I am strongly considering to move to Samsung after all the **** i went through with your online store and now this.

Can someone please call me to resolve this?
