Inferior products sold at Istore

I recently purchased the new iphone 12 pro max from the istore at the V&A waterfront. Along with it, I purchased an apple cover as well as a "Qdos optiguard' tempered glass cover for R399.

Within 24 hours the Qdos screen protector cracked and split in 3 places over the screen. I have bought similar products in the past which have doesn't similar due to my own negligence, however I do not believe this is the case with how this screen protector broke. The phone is brand new and I have been treating it like my most precious possession and therefore have not dropped it our given a means for such a serious breakage.

I think the product that I bought is an inferior product with some sort of factory defect. The store was not interested in what happened and could not refund/replace the item. So I basically threw R399 away.

I would really encourage whoever reads this not to buy any non apple (or other non established brand) from the Istore. To me this "Qdos" product seems like some cheap Chinese knock off material that is being sold at a high premium. Overall, despite being happy with my iphone I am really disappointed with my experience buying and using the Qdos optiguard product and feel I have been ****med by purchasing it.
