If you are not close to an iStore forget about iPhone or iPad or Mac

Apple makes decent products. They are however very expensive and to repair them is a real pain- Think again before buying an apple product. iStore holds the total monopoly on iPhone repairs. They are the ONLY authorised repairer in SA. I fitted an aftermarket battery to my out of warranty iPhone as I stay miles away from any iStore (technician said it was original) - did not last - took the day off and went to iStore. Told them it is an aftermarket battery. Now, a day later they want to charge me an additional R 750 because I used an aftermarket battery. It is a fine - a penalty - that is how much they care for clients. Their excuse is that Apple wants an original battery back from them and that it is more difficult to replace now - all complete nonsense. If you don't stay close to an iStore and can't afford to be without out a phone for a few days - Stay away from iPhone.
