I-Store Vodacom to MTN contract port

My wife took out a new MTN contract from I-Stores Somerset Mall. Two times we were send away because according to them the MTN servers were offline. Eventually we managed to get the contract done. Her number was ported from Vodacom to MTN and she received the SMS'e that her Port request has been approved and ready for activation. I called within the office hours, it took me two minutes to get through all the selections just to be told that i should leave a message. This was 15 Minutes before the shop was closed. I contacted MTN directly to find out what is the delay for the porting of the number just to be told by the operator that they do not have information on my wife's number nor ID. She is not a member of MTN????? We are now battling from Monday to Thursday evening to get a number ported and a contract established with still no resolve.
