Heartbreaking moment

I went to the iStore in eastgate shopping center for a battery replacement, I was told that they won't replace my battery because my phone is chipped next to the camera lens. the more I told the gentleman assisting me that I am aware of it and I will not hold the store liable for any damage it's the more I was told that the iStore does not do battery replacements if the device is damaged in any way. I was so down and disappointed plus angry, I mean what is the point of having an apple device if the iStore won't fix it when it is damaged? if the was a zero rating I that is what I would rate the iStore in eastgate.
