Gross Misrepresentation of Goods at iStore Fourways Mall – Sold M4 16GB, Received M3 8GB

I am writing this with a heavy heart and a complete sense of betrayal. About two years ago, I visited the iStore at Fourways Mall specifically to purchase the new MacBook with the M4 chip and 16GB RAM. I had been following the news and waited for this specific 2024 release because I wanted a high-performance machine. At the time of purchase, I spent over R32,000. The sales process, the packaging, and the accompanying documentation all led me to believe I was receiving the exact 16GB M4 model I asked for. I have recently checked the system specifications on the laptop itself, only to discover that I was actually sold an M3 model with only 8GB of RAM. It has come as a shock. I never even thought to check as I assumed I had received what I purchased. I am not a very "technical person" obviously, but I wanted to buy something good to last, as I use it daily.

This is not just a "mistake"; it is a gross misrepresentation of a premium product. I paid a significant amount of money for hardware that I did not receive. As a loyal Apple user, my trust in the iStore Fourways Mall branch is completely broken. Under the Consumer Protection Act, I have the right to truthful advertising and quality goods. I feel exploited and deeply disappointed by the lack of integrity shown by this store.

I expect a formal explanation and a resolution that reflects the R32,000 investment I made in good faith.
