i purchase a pair of Beats by Dre Studio v2 in Dec 2016 at Istore Cresta for R2999. I noticed that the headphones had a terrible sound it made which resulted in headaches. I stopped using them and upon research, I discovered that to confirm whether the headphones are authentic, there must be a model and serial number engraved on the right metal piece. When I checked mine pair, I noticed that there was no serial number. I returned the headphones to the Istore in Cresta Mall and spoke to a manager who agreed that this was indeed very strange as all beats have a serial number. He agreed to book them into the service center for inspection and confirm their authenticity.

A week later I received an SMS confirming that they had been returned to the store from the service Centre. On the job card it simply stated that they had been replaced under the Apple Warranty. Delight I opened the box to inspect the headphones and to my horror I noticed there was once again no serial or model number in the replacement unit. I immediately brought this to their attention at the store. No one, not a single person in the store could provide a concrete explanation for this. Instead they made me seem like I was paranoid and plain stupid and insisted that this particular model did not come with a serial or model number on them (like buying a car without a vin number). Obviously this was not correct, I insisted that they return them back to the service Centre.

A week later I receive a text stating they headphone had been returned. Upon collection is was told by a manage of some sort that the service Centre manager had been to the store and confirmed that the headphones are authentic and that this particular model did not come with a serial or model number(ridiculous). I wondered what kind of service Centre manager would reasonably come to such a retarded conclusion and be satisfied with himself?? I proceeded to argue with a manager on the floor as he kept insisted that they were authentic and that there is nothing they can do as they are not APPLE itself but are merely a reseller of APPLE products. I disagreed and refused to take them back into my possession and he then agreed to escalate the matter directly to APPLE itself.

Upon much investigation, i decided to go to MUSICA in Cresta and purchase the exact pair of headphones. I opened the box containing the EXACT pair and model to find that this part ACTUALLY HAD a serial and model number!! This can only MEAN THAT THE PREMIUM RESELLER OF APPLE PRODUCTS IS ACTUALLY SELLING COUNTERFEIT GOODS!!!!!!

IT HAS BEEN 2 MONTHS AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY FEEDBACK NOR DO I HAVE THE HEADPHONES BACK!!

MUSICA in Cresta sells the EXACT same headphones however THEY ALL COME WITH SERIAL AND MODEL NUMBERS ON THEM?????? I HAVE ATTACHED PICTURES OF THE HEADPHONES SOLD AT MUSICA WITH SERIAL NUMBERS
