EXPECTED TO PAY FOR A HARD THAT BROKE WITHIN A YEAR

Around December 2014 I bought a Mac Book cash from iStore Cresta, before 12 months the machine froze and could not access the information. I requested the store to either refer me to one of their reputable partners to get access to information that could not be backed up or they give me the hard drive to try other service providers. The store manager told me the only way I may get the hard drive is to pay about R11 900.00 and will get it back if the hard drive is not damaged because its their property. It took us a year trying to resolve the issue that I cannot pay the same amount for a faulty hard drive. Later an employee sent me an email with an option of trade in or they give some monet and they s**** the machine. I went to the store manager and said I opt for the value of the machine and they can s****, he refused (I have evidence of the email).

Months later I went back and asked them to put a new hard drive since the machine broke in less than a year, they told me its too late. Now am told its either I take a broken machine that worked for less than a year as is or pay for the hard drive.

There are a list of communications from the time the machine went for repairs till today when am told its loss. To me its a robbing business, how can a machine breaks in less than a year and because I did not agree with thier policy and expect me to take a broken machine. The manager at Cresta do not really care about customers needs but only money. He did not even want to part of the recovery of monies paid but dismissed the various options that was fair to me as a client. I am not sure if this is misfortune or other people feel that Apple is robbing clients, firstly, their machines and phones are superclosed and now they say cannot access get a faulty harddrive. Common sense tells me that they either recycle old hard drives and sell as new hence the machine broke in less than a year.

I need my money or a machine replacement. Apple is not a cheap product and they cannot rob daylight.
