Disappointing service at iStore Gateway Theatre of Shopping Mall

For the second time, I visited iStore at Gateway Theatre of Shopping Mall in Umhlanga, Durban. On both occasions I received no assistance from anyone. I was hoping to purchase a specific item which wasn't in stock the first visit. The second visit, earlier today I saw the item in stock and waited for assistance which didn't arrive. Upon entering the store there were about 3 assistants on the floor, when I wanted help to my surprise only 1 assistant was on the floor staring at a laptop and her phone. I then went over to her and asked if she could kindly remove the security lock as I wanted to purchase an item. She continued on her laptop and just answered uninterestingly "Okay". I then waited and saw her move to behind the desk, totally ignoring such an easy request to assist me with. I then decided to leave the store as no service was available once again. This is by far the worst iStore I've ever been to. Residing in Cape town, and always receiving such good customer service from your Canal Walk branch, I find this stores quality and customer service really needs to evaluated as this is truly disappointing and totally against what Apple stands and strives for.

I do hope management will address this important issue as I often hear and read that customer service is really disappointing at iStores across South Africa. For myself who previously worked in an large IT retail store, this is by far the worst service you could ever display. If this is how you want to conduct your business, you might as well request consumers to purchase Apple products online as the consultants are useless at this particular store. It was also really upsetting to see the amount of customers waiting to be assisted, who were not receiving any help.

I await a full explanation if management considers its customers and store important.
