********* contract agreements

My recent experience with iStore Online Cellular has been a nightmare!

On 3 January 2025, I submitted an online application for an iPhone 16 Pro Max under the Telkom FlexOn 6 package but did not complete the process by providing the required documentation or paying the administration fee of R250.

Despite this, iStore proceeded with activating the contract with Telkom without my explicit consent.

Upon visiting the iStore physical branch on 24 January 2025, I was informed that a contract had already been activated in my name with Telkom. This was done without my knowledge, consent, or the completion of the necessary steps on my part.

When I contacted iStore Cellular Online on 27 January 2025 to inquire about the situation, I was informed that an agreement had already been initiated on 11 January 2025, despite my lack of consent.

iStore had unilaterally altered my existing SIM-only contract with Telkom without my approval. I am now due and liable to Telkom since the 11 January 2025.

Following this discovery, I formally requested the cancellation of the unauthorized contract and the restoration of my original SIM package.

Despite repeated attempts to rectify the issue, my Telkom SIM was disconnected on 29 January 2025, leaving me unable to make or receive calls, which caused significant inconvenience and disruption to my daily activities.

This experience has raised serious concerns regarding iStore Online Cellular’s handling of customer agreements and their adherence to ethical business practices. The failure to obtain proper consent before activating a contract, the misrepresentation of the application process, and the subsequent failure to resolve the issue efficiently have demonstrated a lack of accountability and due diligence.
