Beats earphones have a design fault. DO NOT purchase these.

<p>I purchased a pair of Beats earphones which cost in the region of R5500. At around a year of owning these earphones the product started falling apart. The soft (not sure if it's leather) part of the earpiece started just disintergrating on both sades, eventually just leaving the faom with no covering. </p> <p>I only use these earphones when I travel so it felt to me that for fairly minimal usage that the iStore (where I purchased these earphones from) would at least send them back to the supplier to review the prodcut as I am very certian that the product is faulty. When I went to the istore at the waterfront in Cape Town, I was met with a very rude customer service staff member who said that she would book the product in to be quoted on for repair but they refuse to send it back to the supplier. I (almost) wouldnt have a problem with paying for a repair if I thought that it wouldnt happen again but it seems futile to replace the material with the same if it only going to happen again. This has happened on both sides so itr is clearly a manufacturing fualt. The istore claim that it is not their responsibilty to liase with brands (even Apple) as they are only authorised resellers and not the brand......but yet they can clearly take money for repairs?! This seems grossly unfiar to me and I only purchase my products from Digicape now because at least the serive there is better. </p>
