I purchased a new set of AirPods from the I store eastgate and when I got home and gave it to my daughter she opened the box and noticed it was the wrong air pods(because of the size of the casing) . I took them back literally an 1 hour after I purchased them and asked if I could change them for the correct ones and at first they said no , reason being it’s used in the ear and it stated it on my invoice , I told them no one fitted them on but still they were persistent because it’s states it on their invoice , so I asked where it stated it on the invoice because no one informed me when I purchased the air pods. The manager started to read the invoice terms and conditions but when we read the invoice there was no such term , then they agreed to exchange it but would charge me a 20% handling fee because we opened the box. So I lost R600 for just opening the box. If I was you rather buy your goods from takealot because the I store is actually not a proper I store and is a retailer just like takealot and at least if you have a problem like I did takealot will refund you the entire amount and not a 20% handling fee for literally opening a box after 1 hour
