STAY AWAY FROM BEPROP!!!!!!!!!

We rented a unit through Beprop when we went to look at the place, the place was in horrible condition, most of the lights didn't work, toilets leaked, walls were full of marks, stains on the tiles, bathtub didn't hold any water in, and I can go on with the list. Just want to make clear how bad the place looked. However, the unit had potential, we asked that if we move in, would all these issues be sorted out, and they said yes, they are going to fix all of the issues before we move in.

Eventually, when we had to move out of our previous place, we have organized to have a look at the place a day before we move in. They didn't do 1 thing to repair anything on the unit. After we moved in we sent them a really long list of things that is wrong with the unit. Our agreement was that they fix the unit on the inside and we will plant grass (of which there were hardly any). The day we moved in we have planted grass.

After 3 months of struggle, they have eventually sent someone to look at fixing the place. The team they sent, apparently charged the owner of the unit a really large amount of money to repair the place, of which the team did basically nothing. They painted the walls of the unit on the inside, but this was done so badly that there were patches everywhere in the unit. Other than that, they did absolutely nothing.

We then complained and sent them another list of which they asked to send a shorter list of problems that need to be fixed as soon as possible. Some of them were keys for the back doors of the house as we couldn't even lock the doors and the doors had to be unlocked whilst we were not home, or sleeping.

After another month or so, they finally sent a team to do some of the fixings. They had done a lot better job, and we actually sent Beprop an email to say that they should use this team more often as they are very friendly and tried their best. They even put in wind stoppers at the doors of which they didn't even ask for money.

Beprop then wanted us to pay for those repair work. After a long fight with them, they have realized that they cannot charge us for repairs to damages that were there before we even moved in.

The biggest issue at the moment is that we have since then moved out, and they now have the decency to tell us that they are keeping our deposit for the place, even though there is a nice long email trail of everything. They told us that we need to pay for the things they never repaired, that was broken before we moved in.

This is not only a complaint but a warning to everyone that thinks about using Beprop as a Real Estate agent. Do not do this to yourself, if Beprop's name is on a listing, run and don't look back. I will be taking further steps to get my full deposit back from Beprop as well as the interest it was supposed to earn. My next step is to take this up with the ombudsman. As when I spoke to the principal Zain, he sounded very unprofessional, of which I told him about it and he then said that this is his personal cell phone number. This is the same cell phone that is not only on Google but also on their (Beprop) website.
