Gym contract Ignite fitness

My son entered into a contract 24 April without my knowledge and no income He is a student with no income How is this possible and how will he pay for this contract Although he is above 18yrs is there no obligation from the gym to ensure he will be able to pay. Clearly he does not have an income I don't have money to pay for his contract which means his debit order will bounce monthly and puts him into bad debt before he even started his life. How do we protect students and parents from taking these bad decisions This is extremely bad f
