********** service and potential ***** on my account
I went under debt review in February 2022. iPDA has not paid according to the court order. Some months they have paid 10 or 20 cents, and some months noting at all. My car was almost repossessed due to them not paying for 3 months in a row.
Money is unaccounted for. If they paid R0.20 where did the rest of my money go? All my statements from them show the perfect payment history yet when I aske for the proof of payments from them, only then I see the lack of consistency and months when nothing was paid. How can my statements differ from whats being paid that very underhanded and *****ulent. After I put together a very comprehensive excel spreadsheet, which I have sent to them, I have concluded money is unaccounted for and some accounts have been growing due to the court order not being followed.
I have taken over paying my creditors personally because I don't trust iPDA with my money anymore and am shocked at their lack of communication and service. The hours I have spent on this investigation is ridiculous and I should not have to do it. iPDA is not trustworthy and I am shocked they are in charge of paying accounts when this is happening. If I look at all the reviews so far here on Hello Peter they are all extremely negative and consistent with my complaint.
The role of the iPDA is to collect and distribute your debt review payment to your creditors. The instruction for collection, as well as distribution, is obtained from your debt counseling firm in the form of a payment plan submitted to the iPDA system.
When payments are unsuccessful, this could be due to various reasons. We call these unsuccessful payment exceptions/suspensions. Payments can be unsuccessful due to the incorrect account details being loaded, the creditor returning funds to the iPDA, or payments can be suspended at the request of the debt counselor. When funds are refunded to the iPDA by the creditor, the creditor is then automatically suspended, to stop payments from being paid to paid-up accounts.
With regards to the exceptions/suspensions, the iPDA must have these funds redistributed to the creditors within 30 business days. This is done in line with the NCR regulations. These redistributions are done based on instructions from the debt counseling firm, however, if no instruction is provided, the funds are redistributed using a pro-rata method, to the creditor on the currently active payment plan loaded on the system by your debt counseling firm. This is the reason for the smaller amounts being paid to the creditors.
I have emailed you 2 reports that highlight the payments received, the distributions of each, as well as where the unsuccessful payments were redistributed to.
Kind Regards
